Hello there! I'm Chris O'Sullivan, an American residing in Lima, Peru, for the past three years. Following my father's path, who worked with the American Military to uplift the lives of children in the Peruvian Andes back in the late '80s, I'm dedicated to making a difference here.
My mission is to establish a vast industrial space aimed at providing essential care, housing, and medical services, including surgeries, for up to 500 dogs and 300 cats daily. To achieve this, we'll have a fleet of roaming vans to rescue animals in need and guarantee a corruption-free operation for years to come.
Our offerings include Peru’s premier fresh dog food, dog-friendly ice cream, a state-of-the-art veterinary clinic with advanced surgical services, and partnerships with natural online stores for holistic pet supplements and products. By donating a portion of each sale towards aiding animals in distress, we aim to reduce medical costs and foster a sustainable model.
The core of our project involves setting up a self-sustaining facility featuring Peru's first Doggie Daycare and boarding center, complemented by a full-service Vet Clinic and a thrift store selling a variety of pet products. With 40 revenue streams and over 100 products, we're creating a dynamic space where pet welfare thrives.
Imagine a scenario where helpless animals roam the streets, and there's no one to turn to for support. This harsh reality in Peru inspired me to take action. In the absence of animal control, shelters, and adoption agencies, we strive to be the beacon of hope for these voiceless beings.
At "Bandis Place," our non-profit venture under the Chris Peru Companies Brand, we envision a future where the community takes charge of animal welfare. With a laser-focus on promoting adoption, reuniting lost pets, and engaging with the community, we aim to revolutionize the pet care landscape in Peru.

Three years after our founder Chris's father sadly passed away, he saw a chance to make a huge difference in the lives of Peru's animals and pets. Inspired by his father's charitable character and driven by what he saw in the streets of Peru, Chris set to work creating an animal charity that would save dogs from the dangerous lots and provide a refuge for all animals in the country.
The name comes from another tragedy. Shortly after his father passed away, another family member also fell sick – his beloved German Shepherd Bandi. The difficulty with several veterinary clinics in Peru inspired Chris to make a change. Sadly, Bandi passed on, but his name would forever be a refuge for other animals: Bandi's Place was born.

Inspired by his personal challenges, Chris dreamt big. He foresaw an animal sanctuary capable of holding 500 dogs and 300 cats at any given time (offering boarding, feeding, and medical care). This space, imagined in every detail, would be more than just a shelter – it would guarantee rescue, recovery, and love to every animal who entered.
It was a big year – as Bandi's Place opened a new veterinary clinic, created several jobs, and even launched a pet food brand.
Challenges abound, but so do aspirations. Chris's ambitious blueprint doesn't just promise care and refuge. It heralds hope for countless Peruvian animals and pet owners alike. With memories of his father's devotion and Bandi's unwavering spirit, Chris and the team continue the hard work. Here's to a better future for our furry companions!
After his father died, Chris moved to Peru in 2019. Unfortunately, the family faced another heartbreak. Bandi, his cherished German Shepherd, fell suddenly ill. Facing the inadequacies of Peru's veterinary system head-on, Chris felt the stirring of a new mission.
Bandi's health challenges were not merely personal trials for Chris. They highlighted a broader narrative of neglect and need. The glaring gaps in Peru's animal healthcare were both a revelation and a call to action. The new charity he called Bandi's Place after his dog – a dream that other animals should never struggle to find adequate care.
